World Culture Open is an international nonprofit organization harnessing world's cultural legacies for advancing the wellbeing of humanity and the betterment of the world. WCO aims to celebrate diversity of culture and mobilize cultural resources for the common good, holistic wellbeing, and harmonious coexistence between and among diverse cultures. In addressing the new reality of the post 9/11 world, WCO believes that such efforts will bring people together to better understand each other, which will ultimately lead to resolving conflict among diverse cultures. |

Establishing a Global Network of Cultural Organizations
WCO recognizes and values the world's unique cultural assets through building a global network of cultural organizations and cultural centers for advancing peace and harmony on earth. Culture has a unique power to connect. WCO believes that culture has the capacity to connect one person to another person, a community to another community, and a nation to another nation. For this capacity, culture is the first critical step to inter-national, inter-cultural dialogues, providing common ground for mutual understanding, that can transcend national and political boundaries and enables a more sustainable and synergistic development of a global community. To this aim, WCO develops forums and global networks for cultural exchange and intercultural dialogue.
Establishing a Culture of Holistic Wellbeing
When constructing sustainable, balanced, value-based societies, one must ensure that the foundation is comprised of healthy, sound individuals. Such a society can be achieved only when each individual develops a state of health that incorporates body, mind and spirit in balance-an ideal, WCO believes that all cultures are ultimately striving to create. |
