Diversity Festival
In addition to the gala awards ceremony, World Culture Open transformed Damrosch Park in Lincoln Center into a global village for a Diversity Festival that featured performers from all parts of the world on Friday, Sept. 10th. Cultural, artistic, ethnic, humanitarian and holistic health organizations from the Manhattan area gathered at Damrosch Park to share information about their work and their organization through performances, demonstrations, displays and workshops.

The WCO Diversity Festival consisted of five tented pavilions representing the regions of the world, each with a daylong program designed for the public to experience firsthand the cultural traditions from the region?how people express themselves through the arts, how they achieve holistic balance, health and wellbeing, and how they reach out to help others through humanitarian service. Each pavilion hosted food and crafts for sale from the region. Performances and demonstrations took place in four smaller tented pavilions, while on the permanent outdoor stage in Damrosch Park a daylong schedule of performers included many of the artists who performed in the WCO Awards Ceremony.
